What does a 7x24 local radio station do when they need a new email system and they can’t afford any downtime? The professionals at Pioneer met with the client and created a project plan to move to a new email system with no noticeable downtime to the end user. Pioneer installed and tested the server hardware and operating system during the week. Once the testing was complete a date was set to install the Exchange server and migrate the clients eighty email accounts. Pioneer installed, tested, and migrated the user email accounts during a six hour window. This solution allowed for both systems to be running at the same time which provided for only three minutes of downtime for each user. The veteran IT director at the radio station was excited to find out that he didn’t have to work all weekend as he anticipated.
