Project Management Client Success

Pioneer was asked to manage a project for this international retail operation to update all their desktops and servers in 800 locations in a six week time frame. Pioneer worked closely with the client teams to develop processes and procedures to accomplish this task and ensure high quality delivery. Pioneer negotiated contracts with three contract IT firms to provide installation teams at each of the client locations. Communication is critical to the success of any project, so Pioneer created an Intranet site to disseminate information to the teams, and conducted daily conference calls with the installation teams to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures. A project specific help desk was staffed with subject matter experts to assist on-site teams on the day of installation. The project was completed on time and on budget. The client was able to go into their busy retail season with a new system that they can leverage to greater success.
